Hera drone |
Hera is a "made in Vietnam" technology product by Realtime Robotics, which presented three drone models with three different tasks at the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2022. The outstanding feature of Hera is its payload (15kg) and software configuration that allows multiple functions such as carrying 9 bombs and dropping them one by one, dropping objects in rescue missions, setting continuous flight configurations with direct power supply...
The Hera drone is designed and manufactured in Vietnam by a
team of Vietnamese engineers, with all stages including the drone's body or
frame, mainboard, control system, and software. Some imported components
include chipsets, camera sensors, and drone motors. Realtime Robotics is also
the first company in Vietnam licensed to produce drones, and Hera is a drone
line exported to the US market.
The highlight of the Hera drone is that it has a compact
design and weighs 30kg, so it can be folded and carried in a backpack. The
maximum payload of this aircraft is 15kg, and with this maximum load, the
aircraft will have enough battery power to operate for about 12-15 minutes. If
the payload is 2.6kg, the flight time will reach 46 minutes (battery pack
44.4V, 29400 mAh). The maximum flight ceiling is over 3,000 (3km), but the
optimal range is about 350m from the ground, and the manual control range is
11,000m (11km).
Besides transportation, Hera also has a module configuration that connects to devices and can drop them one by one through an electronic control system. This module can connect to 9 bombs or 9 other objects that need to be dropped. The electronic system can take data from the surveillance camera to create a more precise target when dropping objects. Hera can be manually controlled or set to autonomous mode. It can move automatically along a pre-set route to perform tasks (such as dropping bombs in a specific area) and return automatically. In case of GPS signal loss or connection failure with the control system, Hera can return to the take-off point thanks to AI technology that sets up and calculates the flight path.
Hera can also be used for rescue operations |
Similarly to dropping bombs, thanks to the ability to drop objects, Hera can also be used for rescue operations, delivering medical supplies, rescue rafts, or similar purposes. Thanks to its good flight time, Hera can also be used for high-altitude patrols, and a 360-degree camera system or various infrared cameras can be installed.
Additionally, Hera also supports the ability to operate in
harsh environments, such as high temperatures or heavy rainfall. Its design
allows it to withstand winds of up to 50km/h, making it suitable for various
weather conditions.
The production of Hera is not only a technological
achievement for Realtime Robotics but also a significant contribution to the
development of Vietnam's aerospace industry. The fact that Hera is designed and
manufactured entirely in Vietnam by a team of Vietnamese engineers showcases
the country's capabilities in producing high-tech products.
Furthermore, the export of Hera to the US market is a
significant milestone for Realtime Robotics, proving the quality and
competitiveness of their products in the global market. It also demonstrates
the potential for Vietnam's technology industry to expand its reach and gain
recognition on a global scale.
In conclusion, Hera is a remarkable technological achievement made in Vietnam, showcasing the country's capabilities in producing high-tech products. Its versatility and adaptability make it suitable for various applications, such as military, rescue, and surveillance operations. With the export of Hera to the US market, it has the potential to contribute to the growth of Vietnam's technology industry and expand its reach globally.
